Glitchit Reviews: Black Ops DLC: First Strike

So the new Map Pack DLC came out on the 1st for Xbox 360. Thought i'd throw out my opinion on it for anyone who was thinking about buying it.

Wait. See if the price goes down. $15 for 4 multiplayer maps and a zombies map. It seems like a bit much. They threw in a few new ideas that make the maps feel unique rather than just a different arrangement and new view.

For example: The map Discovery:
A very beautiful map. It's twist on normal gameplay is you can destroy rocky bridges by using explosives.

DJ's Top 5 Favorite Easter Eggs in Gaming

I like to enjoy the hidden goodies in video games. Like all good things you develop favorites and that is what I have to share with you today. My 5 most favorite video game Easter eggs of all time.
An Easter egg for those of you who don't know is a hidden goodie that can be sometimes hard to find. The idea is that when you find or stumble upon it that it brings a couple of laughs or some greater realization about the game that most people who not understand without seeing it. Mostly they're just fun and that's what I have to share with you.

5:  Scarab Gun

  • Game: Halo 2
  • System: Xbox
  • Year: 2004
I personally have spent several hours with this Easter egg. What's better than being able to shoot a green energy beam that fills your entire view with blinding light? It took two people to even fully enjoy the gun because without the side view you were unable to see just how big of a kick the gun really had. It was a ridiculously exaggerated based off of the size of the gun.

Glitchit Reviews: Monday Night Combat

Monday Night Combat (MNC) introduces a new feel for a shooter. It combines the killing carnage with laughable dialogue and actions.
Ammo Mule

(Picture Above: Example of how MNC adds a comical look at shooting the enemy dead)

There are two game modes: Blitz and Crossfire.
Blitz is a local or cooperative game mode where the entire purpose is to protect your “Moneyball” from wave after wave of robots. The Moneyball is a large floating ball that sits in the center of your base or spawn point. You have three ways you can defend the Moneyball. You can buy and upgrade turrets with the money you get from various tasks. Secondly you can use the two unique weapons each character gets. Then lastly each character has three special powers designed to give specific advantages to each of the characters. Some advantages are offensive, defensive, tactical, and supportive which you can all upgrade with the money you accumulate from killing and helping out.
