/Give Glitchboy Awesome 9000+

DOWNLOAD SERVER HERE

Spent about 12 hours my first day of Winter Break making, customizing, and playing on my Minecraft Server. About the first 3 hours were spent just trying to make it open on my network. Turns out that after the first 20 minutes it actually was ready but a few things led me to believe it wasn't. After setting up my static IP address I thought that I could connect, turns out I was able to but couldn't figure out why I wasn't. I was using my IP: 192.168.1.125 in this case but what I failed to do was put in the port forwarding at the end ":25565". I figured this was only needed for people outside the local network. This is "false". Also you can connect to your own server when you're on the machine hosting it by typing :25565 or localhost.

Here's a few quick little facts in hope that you might save some time if you plan on making a server yourself.

I was 1500+ of those 60,599,541 tabs

Chrome for a cause was evidently quite the hit according to these numbers.

Just a quick post on the stats for it and to say that I contributed about 150 trees.

GO GOOGLE! WOO!!!

Halolz.com just made me Pokelol

Let me share with you a few pictures and videos that combined had my face hurting. I'm sorry but I was lazy and didn't want to make it look pretty so just view what I posted and enjoy.

DJ's Top 5 Favorite Easter Eggs in Gaming

I like to enjoy the hidden goodies in video games. Like all good things you develop favorites and that is what I have to share with you today. My 5 most favorite video game Easter eggs of all time.
An Easter egg for those of you who don't know is a hidden goodie that can be sometimes hard to find. The idea is that when you find or stumble upon it that it brings a couple of laughs or some greater realization about the game that most people who not understand without seeing it. Mostly they're just fun and that's what I have to share with you.

5:  Scarab Gun

  • Game: Halo 2
  • System: Xbox
  • Year: 2004
I personally have spent several hours with this Easter egg. What's better than being able to shoot a green energy beam that fills your entire view with blinding light? It took two people to even fully enjoy the gun because without the side view you were unable to see just how big of a kick the gun really had. It was a ridiculously exaggerated based off of the size of the gun.

exFAT (FAT64) Quickly Explained

I was trying to transfer all of my files from the tech computer at school to my desktop at home. Well, I brought my terabyte hard drive to do the job but found out that it would not be able to do so because of an error. After a quick trial and error I was able to find that the source of the error was coming from the folder containing my Blu-ray copy of Inception (Compressed 6.5+GB). I was trying to copy my files onto a MS-DOS (FAT) or FAT32 partition. For those of you who don't know why this would be a problem it is because FAT32 only allows files up to a little over 4GBs if I do remember correctly. The reason it was setup this way was so it could be read on a Windows and Mac. My desktop is running Windows XP and the Tech computer is running Mac OSX 10.6 so it needed to be able to be read on both machines. Well I found out that Disk Utility could format the disk with exFAT and after a little research I found how this would be exactly what I needed.

Chrome For A Cause. I'm a Good Person

The Google team has come out with an extension for Google Chrome to make  a difference in the world. That extension is“Chrome For A Cause”. It was released 12/15/10.
Here is a quick explanation provided by Google: “Google will make a donation to worldwide non-profits on behalf of the Chrome community, based on the number of tabs you open in Google Chrome between December 15-19. You’ll be supporting charitable causes, just by browsing the web.”

Glitchit Reviews: Monday Night Combat

Monday Night Combat (MNC) introduces a new feel for a shooter. It combines the killing carnage with laughable dialogue and actions.

(Picture Above: Example of how MNC adds a comical look at shooting the enemy dead)

There are two game modes: Blitz and Crossfire.
Blitz is a local or cooperative game mode where the entire purpose is to protect your “Moneyball” from wave after wave of robots. The Moneyball is a large floating ball that sits in the center of your base or spawn point. You have three ways you can defend the Moneyball. You can buy and upgrade turrets with the money you get from various tasks. Secondly you can use the two unique weapons each character gets. Then lastly each character has three special powers designed to give specific advantages to each of the characters. Some advantages are offensive, defensive, tactical, and supportive which you can all upgrade with the money you accumulate from killing and helping out.

Jailbreaking 4.1

I’ve learned a lot in the past week or two, a few things i’m going to share with you.
First off: I REALLY (really) hate Apple’s elitism in that they don’t allow internal modifications with any of their products
Second: Finding help for Jailbreaking an iPod 2nd Gen running iOS 4.1 is nearly IMPOSSIBLE! which is why I found the resources for anyone wanting to do the same.

This will work on iPod touch 2G and iPhone 3G running 4.1 and 4.0

If your iPod 2G is an MC model (look under settings/general/about/model ) you will be tethered, meaning you will need to be plugged in every time you start your iPod
